Handmade teacup (woodfiring)

Handmade teacup (woodfiring)

This thinwallet, unvarnished teacup was crafted from 'raw', unscreened clay by the artist Alexandre Leroux. In accordance with traditional methods used in Korea, it was wood-fired (Anagama) for 76 oures at 1300°C and marked with the sign of the kiln it was fired in. A wild, rugged and very special artisanal piece that complements the beauty of nature magnificently. It is about 12,5cm wide and 7cm high. The bowl is covered with linen and a handmade, signet wooden box.
